Capítulo Mexicano de la AFS
Bienvenidos
Welcome
The Mexican Chapter of the
AFS is aimed at facilitating communication between members,
about the development of those professions related to
fisheries and fish conservation in Mexico, and between our
Chapter and all AFS members.
Our objectives
are:
1. Promote and evaluate the
development and progress of all branches of fisheries and
related sciences, and their
application.
2. Compile and divulgate, among
members and other interested people, technical and other
relevant information related to fisheries and related sciences
through meetings, publications, and other ways of
communication.
3. Strength teaching of fisheries
and related sciences in schools and universities, and the
permanent professional training of those working in fisheries
and related activities. We consider FISHERIES as a complex of
bio-techno-socioeconomic issues around aquatic ecosystems and
their exploitation.
The organization
includes:
All professional doing research on the natural and human-related components of the aquatic systems, to support the decision making process of the sustainable management and the responsible fisheries; all actors of the socioeconomic development and productive activities in the marine, coastal and freshwater systems; all those related to the decision making of the fisheries systems objectives, considering their interaction with other productive activities and ecosystem values.
